What Happens in Ireland, Stays in Ireland
I never understood the fascination with Irishmen. Sure, I saw PS I Love You and I'll admit I swooned over Hilary Swank's dead man - - but I just left Leap Year, the new Amy Adams movie and I've decided - - I want a guy to escort ME to Dublin.
Declan (played by Matthew Goode) was electrifying. He had the tempting accent, the smoldering eyes and dimpled grin. I loved when he and Adams first met and they fought back and forth and you assumed that they would always hate each other. But the more time they spent together, the closer they became, and they fell in love.
Is it really all that strange that I would want that? Of course not. I'm the kind of girl that when I start to like someone, I treat them terribly. I tease them, I poke fun at them, and generally make them feel terrible. Why? I have no idea. Sometimes it feels like I have to hide how I feel. If I act like I could care less if they're living, they'll never have a clue. So I'd love to meet someone like Declan and start off by always fighting back and forth, and eventually, simultaneously...fall.
Sigh. It would also be an added bonus if he was Irish.
