The Saga of Public High Schooling

Here's another poem from my sophomore days -- this one gave me a good laugh. Who can't relate to the stereotypical-ness of high school? And who knew that at fifteen I knew that high school would be a small little memory? Either way, have a great Sunday!

The Saga of Public High Schooling
Cry for a while,
Then get over it my twisted child.
Your problems aren't that big;
There are wars
And people are dying,
And you're upset because
Your boyfriend is lying.
(I never really liked him anyway.)
Things may seem real
Dramatic right now,
But it's only a part of life.
In fact, it's a whole chapter,
One called HIGH SCHOOL.
(Who really survives, anyway?)
So go play your games,
With your backstabbing friends,
Because it will soon be four years,
And it will be the end.
You shall be sad,
But then you will see,
It will be a small and
Funny little memory.
So live it up
While you are young,
Go on out,
And have some "fun."
