It's a Blizzard!

Here in the Midwest, we've been hit by nothing short of a blizzard. I managed to have a REAL, complete snow day: school and work were both closed, and the city was pretty much shut down. It's been exciting to say the least... Here's a pic of my dogs playing in the deep snow and myself after some shoveling. We have about 17 inches of snow here, and tonight, with the wind chill it's supposed to get down to minus 41.

Gahhh! What's the weather like where you are? Any snow stories??

I live in Canada, but we escaped to Florida this week. Thankfully, because southern Ontario was supposed to get hit with what they affectionately called the snowmageddon. (: Florida has had fantastic weather. (:

Wow, looks like you got hit hard! We had a snow day here in Michigan too but we got less than expected with only about 7 inches.

Wow. Sounds like it's pretty cold there! We haven't had near that kind of snow fall, but then it is Texas. Last year we got 14 inches though, and this year is shaping up to be pretty cold too! With windchill it's in the negatives, but the actual temp is in the teens. And no snow, just ice.

My blog post on snow can be read here: http://rafoster2015.blogspot.com/2011/01/snow-what-is-this-snow.html

anyway, good luck with all the shoveling! Stay warm!
