Walk This Way

Walk this Way. Originally a part of Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic, it would peak at Number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Not only did the hit that Steven Tyler and Joe Perry wrote revamp their career in the 1970s, it also put them out in the limelight once again in the 1980s when it was covered by rappers Run DMC. The song was able to bring Aerosmith to a younger audience as well as introduce Run DMC and their new genre of music, rap-rock, to the world.

Other than merging together generations of music listeners and making a name for both groups, it's truly just a great song. Check out the memorable video, featuring my favorite band, and my favorite rap group.

What do you think? Would music like this fly on the radio today?
